Aciclovir cream can make you more sensitive to UV rays (e.g., sunlight or UV rays from the sun) or wear sunscreens that expose the skin to Aciclovir cream. Do not use a product that has a UV absorbent content that is not absorbed by the skin, e.g., sunscreen, hat, cotton socks, and damp clothes.
Like all medicines, Aciclovir cream can cause side effects, although not everyone experiences them. Most of the side effects are temporary and do not require medical attention.
